Pastor/Teacher
Rev. Elvin Lacey is a native of Raceland, Louisiana. He resides in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He attended C.M. Washington High School, in Thibodaux, Louisiana., and Central Lafourche High School, in Mathews, Louisiana and graduated from Central Lafourche High School.
He was baptized at an early age at Pilgrim Baptist Church, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the Rev. J. Ray McNeely was the Pastor.
He served as the pastor of Bell Baptist Church, in Raceland Louisiana for twenty-two years; he is currently the pastor of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Brusly, Louisiana.
He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts, Major in Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Studies/Minor in Sociology. He has a Master of Divinity from Morehouse School of Religion/The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Rev. Lacey was an honor graduate and is a member of Theta Phi Honors Society.
Formerly, Rev. Lacey served as the Academic Dean of the United Theological Seminary and Bible College, Houma, Louisiana (ext.) and an Adjunct Instructor of Philosophy at Fletcher Technical Community College, Houma, Louisiana.
Rev. Lacey Theme Scripture is: “Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters or in things too high for me. Surely, I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and forever.” (Psalms 131:1-3).
He is married to First Lady, Irma Lacey, and they are the parents of six children: Shawn, Sara, Erin, Corwin, Jonathan, and Anastasia.
